Meyvaert acquires Eribel Group
GHENT – The Ghent based company Meyvaert, specialist in fireproof, bullet- and burglary resistant glazed joinery, and internationally renowned as market leader in development, production and installation of museum display cases, has acquired the activities of Group Eribel. Eribel is a leading manufacturer of fireproof, acoustic, waterproof and burglary-resistant safety wooden doors in Belgium.
Meyvaert and Eribel are joining forces. Alongside Meyvaert, Eribel will become part of the family owned Haerens Group. By combining their activities, Meyvaert/Eribel becomes the absolute market leader in fireproof, acoustic and burglary-resistant safety doors.
Market leader in security solutions
Steven De Tollenaere, CEO Meyvaert, states “This acquisition fits perfectly in Meyvaert’s growth strategy: we want to be the absolute market leader for all available security solutions in the construction industry. By combining the product offering of wood, metal and glass, we can now offer our clients a total solution for fireproof, acoustic and security solutions.”
This acquisition will give Eribel the opportunity to make a new start and develop even more. The major part of Eribel’s personnel will stay on in the new structure.
“Because of the accelerated growth of Eribel, our company needed to be part of a strong and efficient organization and management. This is Meyvaert’s strength” says Rony Bols, founder of Group Eribel. “We are combining Eribel’s culture of innovation with Meyvaert’s organizational and financial strength to assure our future and further growth”
